Did you know that June 10 is International Garden Gnome Day? From the International Days website… International Garden Gnome Day is celebrated on June 10th. Garden gnomes are figurines of small human-shaped creatures designed as decorations for lawns. They originated in Germany in the 19th century, one of the first countries to manufacture and produce gnomes for collectors. These creatures are an inherent part of European folklore, where they were believed to ward off evil, even appearing in tales written by the Grimm brothers. Ultimately, their popularity spread from Europe to American pop culture! Please create a fun little parcel to celebrate the Garden Gnome. This shouldn’t be an envelope with a couple stickers, but an actual parcel 📦. Maybe you send a gnome, a gnome door, gnome stationery, use your imagination on celebrating this fun garden keeper. I will put a $5 minimum (excluding shipping) on this, just to ensure that thought and effort is put into this swap. Have fun, my gnomies! Due to shipping costs, this is a US based swap. |
