Description:

This is a variation of a swap hosted by 03Scarlett back in 2017. I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to do it again and she has graciously allowed me to host it this time around. Thanks 03Scarlett!

This swap is for those who's pets are part of their family, their "babies", whether that's fur, feathered, scaled or bald! Tell your partner all about your pet(s): how they came into your life, how long you've had them, what their personality is like, their favorite toys, cute things they do and what you love about them. If you have more than one pet, and you feel up to it, write about them all! Or pick a favorite and expand on one.

If you no longer have your pet, my condolences. But don't let that stop you. Write about them anyway. Share how your pet touched your heart, what you learned having them in your life and maybe include all the above info you remember about them.

It would be nice to include a photo or drawing of your pet(s) but it is NOT REQUIRED for this swap!

What IS required is:

  • This is a  letter writing swap, so make sure you spend some time writing. Handwritten is preferred, but not required. Printed is ok.
  • Send your partner a minimum of 2 pages of writing (1 sheet has 2 pages).
  • Sheets must be 6x9in (15x23cm) or larger. If you use the smaller size, send 2 sheets/2 sides written minimum.
  • Feel free to decorate the pages, but it's not required.
  • Make sure to write the swap name and your user name in your letter/envelope so you can get rated! And because we are busy with life, and have more than one swap on the burner, we'll have 2 weeks to sign up and two weeks to mail it. That's a month to write and mail 2 pages.
  • If your partner does all the above, give them a 5, even if you don't like their pet or their story.
  • Rate your partner appropriately as soon as you get your swap! Per Swap-bot FAQ:

I got my stuff and it met posted swap requirements (5 points)

I got my stuff, but it didn't meet the posted swap requirements (3 points)

I never got anything (1 point)

  • Hearts are up to you!

Who can play?:

  • USA only this time around. If there's interest, we may do an International one.
  • Unrated swappers welcome.
  • ALL swappers need a filled profile and recent activity on the site, especially as the swap nears.
  • Low ratings need to be either explained or resolved by the time of the swap, with the understanding that an explanation will not guarantee participation. You know your rating, so if you want to play you need to reach out to me on Swap-bot.
  • I'll review accounts and check my Swap-bot email before assigning partners and remove anyone who signed up, doesn't meet the requirements of the swap AND has not reached out to me on the site.
  • Please keep in mind that these actions are only what I can do and does not guarantee your swap partner will send your goodies. If you don't get them, have some grace; reach out to them first. Weather events where people lose everything is real. The socio-political climate is tense. All this can affect post and delivery. Give your partner the benefit of the doubt and a reasonable amount of time to respond. If you don't get a response after a reasonable amount of time, then rate them a one. ("Reasonable" is a week or two, in my book)
  • I CANNOT angel swaps. Participate at your own risk.
