As you see, you will have a book to unwrap every day in the month of December until Christmas Day, 24 books in all! Therefore we will be mailing 2 books to 1 partner each month. This is a USA swap.

How it works:

Create an Amazon Wishlist of books posted on your Profile. A link on your Profile is easiest. Have at least 20 books on your list. Add to your list every month or more frequently to give your partner a good variety to choose from.

Everyone will choose two books off their partner's list to send to them. These books don't have to be brand new. They don't have to be bought off Amazon. They can be purchased anywhere, even a used bookstore, or a library book sale, but they HAVE to be in very good condition. No marks, writing, or highlights in the book, unless you find an author signed copy 😁, no rips, no damage. Basically I want everyone to receive a like new copy. These are Christmas gifts, after all.

There is no spending requirement. The only requirement is that the books must be Like New or New condition. You might find a Like New book for $5 depending on where you find it, or you might spend 10 or $12 on Amazon purchasing it directly from there. Most books are not expensive on Amazon. You can get paperback or hardback editions. Partners can specify on their wishlist which they prefer, but you may receive a softcover of a book when you preferred a hardcover. The point of this swap is to receive a book title you're interested in.

After you purchase the books, wrap them up like a Christmas gift in Christmas paper. Each book will be individually wrapped and numbered. These are Christmas gifts so think Christmas while wrapping these books! 😂 If you do not have Christmas paper, any solid color paper can be used (red, green, gold, silver, brown Kraft paper, etc) and embellished with Christmas themed stickers, rubber stamping, washi, or yarn or ribbon, etc... Just make the packages Christmas-y. 😊There are great tutorials online on various ways of wrapping books creatively. Some wrapping tutorials create pockets. Inside these pockets you can add extras if you choose, like Christmas card, stickers, bookmarks, etc.

Please put the # of the swap on the book in the form of a tag or sticker or largely written number that is easy to see. Books in this first January swap should be marked #1 and #2 on their tags Also include on the tag your Swap-bot name so your partner can rate you when they receive the books. Feel free to include a separate note or letter they can read now. The books will be set aside to open in December and more books will be added in subsequent months as members join the new monthly swaps.

When you mail your book, you should automatically receive a tracking number at post office when you get postage applied. Please send tracking number to your partner AND to me the host in a PM.

When you receive your book, do not unwrap them yet. 😁 Rate your partner a 5 to indicate you received. You can update the rating in December (like if you want to give a heart because they might've included something that made the swap extra special to you). If you open your book and it is not Like New or has any writing in it, contact your partner to remedy the situation. Take pictures and send to partner if necessary. You may also contact me to make me aware of any problems. I hope everyone will send their partner a book in a condition they would love to receive however.

To participate in this swap, you live in USA. You have a 4.98 minimum rating. You have completed 20 Type 3 swaps. No unresolved 1s. No double profilers. If you see any in the Participant list, LMK. I do ban after the swap ends but I appreciate any heads up beforehand if you know anything. I also Angel my swaps so do not worry about not having 24 books to open in December.

To avoid the same book being purchased in future swaps since we can't alert our partner to remove the book from their WL after we've purchased, I need to ask everyone to message me what books they purchased for their partners so that I can alert their next partner what books NOT to purchase again. Of course my partner cannot tell me which book they purchased so @TishaAnn has kindly offered to keep a list. So my partners will message her with the book titles they purchased for me. I will notify future partners of everyone what books NOT to purchase for their partners as they've already been purchased in a previous round. I hope this makes sense.

There is an option on Amazon to have books removed once someone purchases from your WL if you want to set this up on your WL. You'll go to your Lists and go from there. LMK if you want help in finding this feature. But since all books might not necessarily be purchased from Amazon, let me know which titles you send to your partner so they aren't repurchased in future months
